A new creature-collecting ARPG called Aniimo is on its way! Pawprint Studio is developing it, and it looks like it'll scratch that Pokémon itch for those of us on Xbox and PC.
Aniimo is set to be a free-to-play game launching in 2026 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and even mobile devices.
The big standout feature they're highlighting is the "Twining" gameplay mechanic, which lets you unlock more abilities for your Aniimo. The game itself takes place in an open world called Idyll, filled with uncharted landscapes and ancient mysteries, which sounds pretty cool for exploration.
Jovi Zhang, the executive producer, mentioned that the team wanted to create a game that fulfilled their dreams of a creature-collecting adventure, and they're excited for us to explore the world of Aniimo with them.
