How to Join
Joining our community is easy. All you need is either a Google or GitHub account. No phone number is required and your personal information is only stored with Google/GitHub. Our registration process is designed with maximum convenience in mind for our international users.
When you join, your nickname is automatically assigned by your Google or GitHub handler. But you can change your nickname once every 30 days in your profile! And you can also feature a cool avatar and profile banner if you like!

How to Download Mods
Mods are linked by the end of a post as "unlockable attachments". Our community uses Community Points to unlock those attachments and make them downloadable for you.

After unlocking the attachment, you get a link which you can use to download the mod.
Giving a Reward with GOLD allows you instant access to the attachment, regardless of how many you have.

Community Points
CaiMoGu.org is more than just a simple Mod-Download-Website.
We want to build a strong and honest community and offer a platform which encourages creators to put good efforts into good mods.
That is why we use Community Points to encourage our members in quality participation.
To prevent spam and abuse the Community Points which can be earned are limited to 3 Community Points per day.

"A day" starts for CaiMoGu.org always at 12am midnight China Standard Time. That is UTC+8, EST+14 and PST+16.
GOLD Rewards
GOLD Rewards are optional, mostly
The Reward amount is set by the mod author, and it is their decision how much they charge for a GOLD Reward to give you instant access to their mod. CaiMoGu.org staff have no influence on their decision.

A reward is not a payment. It is a way of supporting the mod author.
Please remember that a portion of your GOLD Reward is used to maintain this website. 60% goes to the mod author, 40% is for domain, web server, administration - that all cost a lot and we have put a lot of effort into making this international version available to you.

A GOLD Reward is fully optional. Just remember: every good mod you enjoy, there is a mod creator who worked hard to make it available for you.

If you are a new member, we recommend that you check out these curated mods that you can download for very little Community Points (CP). A great way to test and learn how our community works!
Basically all foreign cloud services are unavailable in China. Even basic services like Google cannot be used without VPN.
According to the law of national network security, all cloud storage services must put their Chinese users' data exclusively in China to get permission on access.
Because of that most Chinese use Baidu Wangpan, which is very comfortable with up to 1TB free storage.
So here is the issue: Chinese users cannot have a common western service to offer you the download, and non-Chinese users cannot have a Baidu account without having a Chinese phone number.
The modders try their best to offer you their mods via Google Drive or other means. But sometimes that is impossible, please show in such cases consideration and understanding.

"site password" is the password you need to enter from the popup when you first visit the service website. Think of it as a method "to prove that you are human". When it is not on maintenance, it used to be "请勿分享密码"
Please let the mod author know if you are still having problems after using Community Points or Rewards to unlock an attachment. We will try to find the best solution for you. Asking in discord can help with extra visibility of your issue. Just be considerate it might take some time with the reply due to timezones (CaiMoGu is on Beijing time / China Standard Time).
Publishing Your Mod
Publishing Your Mod on CaiMoGu.org is very simple. All you need to do is to make a post and tell us about your mod, set an attachment with a link to your mod hosted permanently, then the number for Community Points to unlock and optional a GOLD Reward amount for instant access.
